Workout Round

Five exercises for legs and balance.

Every exercise appears in three levels: seated, standing with support, and free standing.

01

Sit-to-Stand / Leg Strength

Seated: Sit tall on the chair, straighten one leg forward in the air, tighten the thigh for 2 seconds, and lower it back down. (10 reps)

Standing with support: Stand tall with one hand supported on the chair back. Send the hips slightly back and perform a half squat. (10 reps)

Free standing: Stand fully up from the chair, then sit back down slowly, with arms crossed over the chest. (10 reps)

Goal: Strengthen the legs and improve sit-to-stand
02

Knee Raises

Seated: Sit tall near the chair back and lift one knee high toward the chest, alternating sides. (10 reps per leg)

Standing with support: Stand tall, place one hand on the chair back for stability, and lift one knee at a time with control. (10 reps per leg)

Free standing: Stand freely and march in place with high knees, arms crossed over the chest. (10 reps per leg)

Goal: Activate the hips and improve movement control
03

Heel-to-Toe Lifts

Seated: Feet on the floor. Lift the heels high, lower them, then immediately lift the toes up. (10 reps)

Standing with support: Stand behind the chair and hold the back with both hands. Rise high onto the toes, then shift weight back to the heels. (10 reps)

Free standing: Rock continuously between toes and heels in free standing, with arms crossed or open to the sides for balance. (10 reps)

Goal: Strengthen ankles and improve balance
04

Single-Leg Balance

Seated: Sit on the edge of the chair, lift both feet slightly off the floor, and try to keep the body steady using the abdominal muscles. (20-30 seconds)

Standing with support: Lift one foot off the floor and stand still on one leg. Keep one hand close to the chair back for backup. (30 seconds per leg)

Free standing: Stand steady on one leg only, arms crossed over the chest, without external support. (30 seconds per leg)

Goal: Improve stability and confidence while standing
05

Floor-to-Standing

Step 1: Start seated on the floor, hands on the floor.

Step 2: Turn into an all-fours position, on knees and hands.

Step 3: Push and rise: 5 controlled reps from all-fours to full standing and back to the floor.

Goal: Practice a safe transition from the floor to standing
